Quickload CEF Inc., referred to as “Quickload or Quickload Logistics” is determined to promote safe working conditions and attitudes within the company in order to reduce the likelihood of accidents and injuries while also ensuring productivity goals are being met.
Quickload is committed to the protection of the health and safety of our employees, our customer’s employees, and the general public. We understand that incidents and injuries are preventable, and that a job is only well done if it is done safely. We have documented Health, Safety and Environmental policies in place, and have implemented a Quality Management program to govern our practices.
Management must ensure the health and safety of all workers and comply with WorkSafe BC Acts, regulations and any applicable orders. Management will provide to the workers information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of those workers in carrying out their work and to ensure the health and safety of other workers at the workplace.
Supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of all workers under their direct supervision and for ensuring that workers are made aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable health or safety hazards in the area where they work. Supervisors must also be knowledgeable of safety acts and regulations applicable to the work being supervised, and comply with WorkSafe BC regulations and any applicable orders.
All Workers must take reasonable care to protect themselves and other persons’ health and safety. Workers must carry out their work in accordance with applicable acts, regulations and established safe work procedures. A worker must report to their Supervisor or management any contravention of the regulations or an applicable order of which the worker is aware, the absence of or defect in any protective equipment, device or clothing, or the existence of any other hazardous condition that the worker considers is likely to endanger the worker or any other person.
Every Employer, Supervisor and Worker is expected to consult and cooperate with health and safety representatives, cooperate with the WCB officers and any other person carrying out a duty under the WorkSafe BC regulations in the prevention, control and mitigation of accidents.
